Our Holiday Party was well attended. We started by taking pictures of each student with their favorite horse. Then, everyone created an ornament using their picture. This was followed with a scavenger hunt to see who could find the most candy canes that were hidden at various locations in the stable.Everyone brought snacks to pass and, of course, there was bareback riding. The party drew to a close at 10 P.M. following a gift exchange.

Fall brings lots of activities! Lots of fun! Lots of horse miles! But our new acivity for this year didn't include horses. Our first Noodles and Ninja Night was for Advanced riders only. It started with a challenging course --- tires, rope climbing and wheelbarrow pushing with Morgan Lewis winning this section. Then came team games.
The riders planned their own dinner with four different, wonderful, homemade (by the students) noodle dishes. The end of the evening was highlighted by push car races. This was super fun with teenagers riding the little kids cars in a variety of methods. Clich here for slideshow.

A group of our ASHA Youth Club members, several parents and staff visited The Dancing Horses show, the Bird Show and the petting zoo at The Animal Gardens in Lake Geneva, WI. The Bird show was interesting and informative plus we got to see Echo the Talking Bird, who had appeared on America's Got Talent a couple of years ago. The Petting Zoo was fun with a large number of animals that everyone could interact with.
For our group, though, the Dancing Horses were the main attraction. About a dozen Arabians, National Show Horses and a talented pony performed a number of different 'high school' acts and other routines to music. Everyone had a good time, plus we took a back stage tour and learned about the time and training that the horses and riders put in to be a part of the show.
